Hey Jan, is Calgary allowed to trade into the first round for the purposes of this mock draft? Bottom ten mind you, nothing crazy. I would like to trade Adam Fox. Man we would love to have him but he expressed feelings he would like to stay in the States. His accolades so far speak for themself.
If that works for you that is.

Pete V, you sly son of gun. I knew it the whole time. Makes too much sense for the Wings should Hughes fall to them.

How did you know, Tom? Lol

Fun working with Feds as well. Looking forward to our next discussion with the later pick. Or will it be much later? ;-)

Yes, they are. But as you said, with the rumors he will not sign with Calgary, who is giving up a first rounder for him? This was the trade when the Rangers got Tim Erixon from Calgary, Erixon along with a fifth-round pick in exchange for Roman Horak and two second-round picks. Second rounders might be the best Calgary could do. But happy to have pick up the banner and try and make a deal.

I have heard Tkachuk or Kotkaniemi or Zadina as likely picks. Long shots of Dobson, Hughes and Boqvist. Don't think the pick is determined yet.

Was set up to have different readers make the pick. Way to create some buzz before the draft. Poll posted for voting for each pick to see if that's the consensus selection, which might differ from who I would pick

Can anyone tell me some of the differences between the top defensive prospects in this draft, besides Dahlin. I just want to know the general context as to why some teams would prefer a certain defenseman over the other for Hughes, Bouchard, Boqvist, and Dobson.

Thanks for getting back to me Jan!

Looks like a second rounder for Fox then. If any bodies interested let me know. Back to work for me for a bit.

If you wanting to trade a late round first pick people lemme know what you propose. We don't really have draft picks, so roster players and prospects pretty much..

I was thinking 28th for Fox and a 3rd in 2019
I don’t have the Rangers in this, just tossing my .02 cents in

Dobson is considered the best defensively, top pair guy that can shut down the other teams top line.

He's never once said he wanted to stay in the States. The only thing he's said is he's focused on school. Stop making things up.

Lefty will pick someone who is well spoken and over 6'1" based on his posts. Skill could also be a factor.

With the 7th overall pick in the 2018 draft, Lefty is proud to select:

Quinton Hughes is a no brainer for Detroit, it doesn't seem likely they would pass on a University of Michigan star

Yet another mock draft - this time from a crazy Finn
https://dobberprospects.c...-mock-draft-june-10-2018/

The Swedes possibly with their best draft class ever - hopefully NYR will pick a few; if Ginning is there at #39...
